This article in the Daily Star says it all! It is really important to check your instructor is licensed; anyone can get themselves a roof sign, some dual controls and pretend to be an instructor.
50 Instructors have had their licences revoked and over 300 would be instructors have been refused a licence.
There is no excuse to why an instructor would not display their licence as it is a £1000 fine if they don’t. Illegal instructors have either not passed their instructors test or simply never bothered; all licensed instructors will have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau.
